China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM): New vehicle sales totaled 1.41 million units in June, up 23.48% year-on-year but down 1.83% from May. In the first six months of this year, auto sales increased 47.7% year-on-year to 9.01 million units. 1.04 million passenger cars were sold in June, including 704,900 sedans (up 10.04% from year-earlier level) and 111,400 SUVs (107.61% more than a year ago).
China Passenger Car Association (CPCA): 985,800 passenger vehicles (sedans, SUVs, MPVs, and mini buses) were sold in June, up 18.1% from a year ago but down 2.2% from May. Sedan and SUV sales increased 10.3% and 77.2% year-on-year to 668,500 and 97,500 units, respectively. For the first half of 2010, passenger vehicle sales reached 6,306,900 units, up 41.3% from the first half of 2009.
