According to its official description, the Dongfeng-Yulon venture will produce not only Luxgen7 SUV and MPV, which are currently available in Taiwan, but also sedans. Yet, no Luxgen sedan has been spotted anywhere–until, perhaps, now.

The heavily camouflaged three-box sedan was captured a few days ago road testing with Luxgen7 SUV, which will roll out of the venture’s Hangzhou factory next year. The logo was not shown, but the square shape on the front and the steering wheel is in accordance with the existing Luxgen design.

On a rough estimate, this should be a family sedan with a wheelbase of around 2,700 mm. Recognizable features on the outside include: cameras on the front end and exterior mirrors, indicating the Luxgen Eagle View+ , a 360-degree surveillance system; front and rear parking radars; Halogen rather than Xenon headlights; LED rear lights.

Inside, the center console features a big display, possibly serving the Think+ infotainment system. As for the powertrain, we can only tell that the test car gets an automatic gearbox and EPB; the engine choice is unknown. The Luxgen7 SUV is equipped with a turbo 2.2-liter, which seems to exceed the power need of this family sedan.
