Voleex C70, Great Wall’s New Flagship Sedan: Auto Shanghai in Pictures
April 22nd, 2011 | Posted in Auto Shows | Great Wall | New CarsGreat Wall showcased the Voleex C70 concept last year at Beijing Auto Show. This year, at Shanghai, the volume-production version was unveiled. Save a few details, the model on display remains highly faithful to the concept.
Targeting other locally developed midsize sedans like new Chery Eastar and BYD G6, Voleex C70 has a 2800mm wheelbase, stands 4945mm long, 1865mm wide, 1480mm high, and weighs 1580kg. When fully loaded, it has a ground clearance of 115mm.

The main engine choice is a turbo-charged gasoline 2.0L VVT from Great Wall which can put out a maximum of 160kW of power and 324Nm of torque. The gearbox will be a 5MT or 6AT. For suspensions, the C70 will use double wishbones at the front and multi-links in the back.
Voleex C70 will be built in Great Wall’s Tianjin factory. Release is scheduled in the first half of 2012.
