FAW Hongqi H7: 2012 Beijing Auto Show in Pics

Targeting high-level government officials, the H7 executive sedan (previously called C131) will be the first to hit the market. With a projected price range of 260,000 – 450,000 Yuan, it is to arrive in showrooms before the year-end and become the most upscale car consumers can buy from any of China’s local brands.
FAW said it would spend over 10 billion Yuan in the remaining of the 12th Five-Year period (2011-2015) to develop the Hongqi H and L lineups, which would cover C-, D-, E-class sedans and include two SUV models. The H and L models will feature FAW-made V6, V8, V12 as well as turbo-charged inline 4-cyliner engines.
Designed as a Chinese alternative to Audi A6L, BMW 5 series, and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the H7 has a 2970mm wheelbase and is 5095mm long, 1875mm wide, and 1485mm tall. Three engine options are provided: a 2.0T, 2.5 V6, and 3.0 V6. The 2.0T can develop a maximum of 150kWof power and 260Nm of torque; the 2.5 V6, 150kW and 240Nm; 3.0 V6, 170kW and 300Nm. For gearbox, the H7 gets a 6-speed AT.
The hybrid electric H7 is powered by a 2.0T engine (145kW and 280Nm) and a 40kW electric motor drawing power from lithium-ion batteries.
