At the 2011 Shanghai auto show, the Zhengzhou division of Haima Motor showcased a SUV concept, the C2. The mass-market version of the concept was exposed this month, indicating an official launch in 2013.
The camouflaged test model gets the sloping roofline and two-bar front grille from the concept. In size, it is in the subcompact category, similar to the Nissan Qashqai. Accordingly, it will be slotted below the Haima7 from Haima Hainan and priced around or below 100,000 Yuan.
For powertrain, it is said to get a 1.5 liter that can develop up to 77kW of power and 140Nm of torque.
Currently mainly building mini commercial vehicles, Haima Zhengzhou plans to launch a passenger-car lineup next year that will include, besides the SUV exposed, a compact sedan and MPV.
