Official Pics of the Upcoming Zhongxing (ZXAuto) Grand Tiger TUV
October 16th, 2012 | Posted in New Cars | zhongxingIn a recent interview with the media, Zhongxing Auto’s brand director revealed that the automaker was soon to release a model that "combines features of SUVs and pickups in whole new ways." Called TUV, which means "Truck Sport Utility Vehicle," the upcoming double-cab will be a new member of the Grand Tiger series.

As the brand director explains, Chinese consumers begin to see pickups as more than goods carriers, and the Grand Tiger TUV is developed to meet their need for improved handling and comfort. It gets the chassis and interior of an SUV, equipped with devices not commonly found on Chinese-made pickups such as multi-function steering wheel, back-row A.C., and parking sensors. No details about the vehicle’s dimensions and powertrain have been provided.
Besides the TUV, Zhongxing plans to release in the next few months two SUVs: the off-road vehicle "Ludi Fangzhou" ("Land Ark") and compact crossover vehicle "Dushi Fangzhou" (‘City Ark").
P.S.: We also learned this week from interviews with the company’s officials that the pickup truck Kuncheng, built by FAW-GM Light Duty Commercial Vehicle, was developed by Zhongxing.
