Geely released images of the 2013 Emgrand EC7 sedan and EC7-RV hatchback, which are to hit the market in November. Both models received a couple of subtle upgrades in styling. The sedan gets daytime running lights, new five-spoke wheels, and beige color to brighten up the interior. For the hatchback, a re-designed front grille and orange-red triming inside give a sportier look.
The new EC7s will be equipped with Geely-developed BMCS (TIRE BLOW-OUT MONITORING AND CONTROLLING SYSTEM) and second-gen G-netlink 3G navi system (offered on selected versions). According to unconfirmed reports, new powertrains featuring a DSI 6AT and GeTech engines will also be provided.
Scoring 5 stars in C-NCAP’s safety tests and four in E-NCAP’s, the EC7 in recent months has been the top selling sedan from a native automaker in China.
