BYD’s copycat SUV, the S6, will get an upgraded version. At this year’s Guangzhou Auto Show, the company plans to launch the S7, which will share a platform with the S6 but be larger and powered by a turbo 2.0L engine.
Modeled upon the second-generation Lexus RX 350, the S6 was the ninth best-selling SUV in China last year, with 86,851 deliveries. Sitting on a 2720mm wheelbase, it is a larger compact priced in a low range of 80,000-120,000 Yuan.
Positioned above the S6, the S7 will have a longer wheelbase, upgraded powertrain, and more appealing appearance–judging from the rendering provided by 163.com. No test model has been exposed so far.

The S7 is expected to sell for 120,000-150,000 Yuan.
