Best-selling China-made EVs in April 2015

China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) recorded 8,320 sales of plug-in electric passenger cars in April, including 5,155 all-electrics and 3,165 hybrids (not including imported models such as Tesla Model S and Chevrolet Volt). In the first four months of 2015, a total of 27,405 China-made PHEVs were delivered, 166% more than the same period a year earlier; deliveries of pure-electrics rose 132% to 16,138, and those of hybrids jumped 238% to 11,267.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in April automakers in the country rolled out 9,060 "new energy" vehicles, including 4,790 pure-electric passenger cars, 1523 plug-in hybrid passenger cars, 1,781 pure-electric commercial vehicles, 956 plug-in hybrid commercial vehicles. and 10 hydrogen fuel cell passenger cars (based on the Ministry’s statistics of new vehicle certificates issued).
