The MX5 is a compact SUV produced by Zhengzhou Nissan, a branch of Dongfeng Motor based in Zhengzhou, Henan. Launched on Sept. 2 at the 2016 Chengdu Auto Show, it is a re-badged Dongfeng Fengshen AX7, both sitting on a 2712mm wheelbase. The AX7 has a chassis borrowed from an old Honda CR-V, while its powertrain comes from Citroen-Peugeot, a partner of Dongfeng.
4720mm long, 1850mm wide, and 1727mm tall, the MX5 gets two engine options, a 1.4T and 2.0L. Scheduled to hit showrooms in November 2016, it will have a starting price of about 100,000 Yuan.
