The Gratour V5 is a low-cost mini van produced by Foton Motor (Beiqi Foton). Positioned above the V3, the V5 made its debut at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show and is expected to hit the market in August 2015. Sitting on a 2700mm wheelbase, it is 4200mm long, 1680mm wide, and 1875mm high. Seven seating positions are provided in a 2+2+3 layout. A 1.2L petrol engine will be employed, mated to a 5MT.
In early 2015, Foton disclosed that it planned to radically expand the Gratour product line to include 6 series of vans and small commercial vehicles. The Gratour T series will cover mini trucks, V series mini vans, Midi series MPVs, iS series vans, and CDVs and CUVs/SUVs. Targeting consumers in the countryside and small towns, Foton aimed to sell half a million Gratour vehicles by 2020.
